With upmost respect to Grant Wood's American Gothic 1930, I decided to immortalize my immediate family unit. From my much better half to the cats and turtle. The birds came with the house. Thinking of adding the ever present squirrels and owls.
The studio has come a long way in the past 2 years. The pandemic led to many small victories, addressing long To Do lists at home and at the studio. Next on the list are two storage sheds ready to be painted.
2022 update: The work space continues to improve as well as a few needed tools added. The second mural started in March 2022; images as soon as it is done.
Constant curiosity leads to experimentation and discoveries.
My appreciation for nature's designs drives the current main body of work, Specious Morphology, yet I continue to pain (t) , draw and experiment with old and new ideas. I recently relocated to Savannah, GA where I continue to make art, seek creative projects and teach at SCAD.
